Elliance Wins Two Awards in the 2005 Web Award Competition

September 14, 2005

Elliance, a Pittsburgh based eMarketing firm, recently received two Outstanding Website Awards from the Web Marketing Association in its annual international competition.

Elliance’s work has consistently been honored by this organization since 2001.

This year, the web site Elliance redesigned for Health Careers Futures (http://www.hcfutures.org), an initiative of the Jewish Healthcare Foundation, was named an Outstanding Website. By making changes to the information architecture, visual design and structure of the site, Elliance hopes to improve the corporate presence of this organization.

According to Karen Wolk Feinstein, President of the Jewish Healthcare Foundation, “the site is a perfect reflection of both the skills and ingenuity of Elliance and the hard work and dedication of Health Careers Futures staff. We’re proud of this site—and confident that it will continue to connect people to job opportunities in health care.”

The second Outstanding Website award presented to this firm is for their agency e-partner site (http://agency.elliance.com ), the micro site Elliance created to promote the work they do with advertising agencies.

One of the judges called this site, "Incredible. It’s fresh, innovative in tone and information display. Totally love it."

Keith Shiley, creative director for Elliance, served on the WMA’s panel of judges. In compliance with the association’s regulations, Shiley could not serve as a judge for the same categories that his firm entered.

“It was an honor to be included on their independent panel of judges,” explained Shiley. “International awards like this one raise the bar for those of us responsible for web site design and development.”

The WMA was founded in 1997 to help set a high standard of Internet marketing and corporate web development on the web. This year, over 2,100 entries from 33 countries entered their web site competition.
